// 42MIN vs CALENDLY

A free Calendly alternative for teams, routing, and unlimited event types

42min gives freelancers and small teams the scheduling features that usually require paid Calendly plans — no credit card, no per-seat bill, no trial countdown.

No credit card · Free plan · Every feature unlocked

    The paid features, unlocked

These are the tools Calendly reserves for Teams and add-ons. In 42min they're on by default — here's what they do for you.

Qualify leads before they book — route by company size, language, geography, or answer logic.
Distribute calls across your team — round robin without buying a per-seat team plan.
Reduce no-shows automatically — reminders and follow-ups included, no upgrade.
Never get booked on a public holiday — automatic blocking across 50+ countries, which Calendly doesn't offer.
    NOT A TRIAL

Free to start, not for 14 days

No countdown, no “your trial ends soon” email, no card on file waiting to charge you. The features listed on this page are unlocked on the free plan today — and free for your whole team.

    NOT A TEASER TIER

    Free means everything

Calendly's free plan is one event type and one calendar. Our free plan is round robin, routing forms, automations, teams, webhooks — the whole product, for every user.

    NOT PER SEAT

    Free for the whole team

Calendly bills $10–16 per seat, per month. Invite your entire team to 42min and the price stays exactly $0.

Honest note: Calendly currently has a larger integration marketplace and deeper enterprise procurement support. 42min is the better pick if your priority is full-featured scheduling without per-seat pricing.

    What Calendly costs your team

Calendly bills per seat, every month. Here's the yearly bill for its Teams plan ($16/seat/mo billed annually) next to 42min.

    Team size Calendly Teams 42min
    Solo (1 person) $120 / yr $0
    Small team (5 seats) $960 / yr $0
    Growing team (20 seats) $3,840 / yr $0
    Department (50 seats) $9,600 / yr $0

Calendly figures use the annual Teams rate (~$192/seat/yr). Monthly billing runs about 20% higher. 42min is $0 at any team size.

    Stop paying the per-seat tax

Whatever Calendly bills per seat, 42min is $0 — same round robin, same routing, same reminders. Move your team over today.

    // THE FINE PRINT

    Calendly's free plan limits, explained

Calendly's free tier is real, and for a single person booking one kind of meeting it works fine. The trouble starts the moment you need a second meeting type, a second calendar, or a teammate. Here's exactly where the free plan stops — verified against calendly.com/pricing in May 2026 — and where 42min keeps going.

    One event type

You can draft several, but only a single event type stays active and bookable at a time. Need a 15-min intro and a 60-min deep-dive live at once? That's a paid upgrade.

    One calendar connection

Conflict-checking reads from a single calendar. A second work or personal calendar means double-bookings — or a paid plan.

    Calendly branding stays

The free booking page carries Calendly's logo and footer. Removing it requires Standard.

    No team scheduling

Round robin, collective events, and managed event types are Teams-only. Solo use is the entire free experience.

    No automated workflows

Beyond a basic confirmation, reminder and follow-up emails, SMS nudges, and workflows live on paid tiers.

    No routing, payments, or webhooks

Routing forms and lead qualification, Stripe/PayPal payments, and webhooks are gated behind Teams or add-ons.

On 42min none of those walls exist. Run unlimited active event types, connect every calendar you own, remove all third-party branding, and turn on round robin, routing, reminders, payments, and webhooks the same day you sign up — without entering a card or upgrading a tier. The screenshot below shows multi-country holiday blocking, something Calendly doesn't offer on any plan.

Daily, weekly, and monthly caps plus pre/post buffers — Calendly free only does daily limits.
    // MIGRATION

How to switch from Calendly in 4 steps

Moving is mostly copy-and-paste. There's no data export to wrangle — your bookings live in your calendar, and 42min reads them directly once connected. Plan on about ten minutes.

    01

    Create your free account

Sign up with email or Google. No credit card, no trial timer. You land in a full-featured workspace immediately.

    02

    Connect Google/Outlook Calendar

Authorize once for two-way sync with Google or Outlook. 42min reads your busy times and writes new bookings straight back — across as many calendars as you like.

    03

    Recreate your event types

Rebuild your 15/30/60-minute meetings — or clone one and tweak. Set durations, buffers, questions, and availability. Keep them all active at once.

    04

    Swap your booking link

Update your email signature, website button, and social bios to your new 42min link. Most people are fully live in about 10 minutes.

Step 2: connect Google or Outlook Calendar for two-way sync in a single click.
    // THE BONUS

    Free and shaped around you

On Calendly, a missing feature is a support ticket into the void or an enterprise upsell. On 42min it's an email — and often a release.

Request a feature, get a feature

Email plus@42min.us with what you need. Requests go straight to the build board — no paid tier, no waiting room.

    Fast shipping, in public

We build openly and ship often. Requested features and fixes routinely land in the next sprint, not next year's roadmap.

    Deep customization

Per-event languages, custom flows, HTML emails, color coding, routing logic — bend the product to your process, not the other way around.

    Who 42min is best for

We'd rather you pick the right tool than churn in a week. Here's the honest version.

    Pick 42min if…

    • Freelancers and solopreneurs who need more than one event type without paying a cent
    • Small teams that want round robin and routing forms but refuse a per-seat bill
    • International and multilingual businesses (per-event languages, holidays for 50+ countries)
    • Teams that want a say in the roadmap and features shipped on request

    Calendly may fit better if…

    • You depend today on a specific native integration from Calendly's large marketplace (e.g. Salesforce)
    • You require enterprise compliance certifications and 24/7 SLA-backed support right now
    • You prefer a long-established vendor over a fast-moving product still building in public

Most of these are roadmap items for us — and the fastest way to move them up is to email us.

    Questions, answered

Completely free to use today. There is no trial clock and no credit card required — every feature listed here (routing forms, round robin, automations, teams, webhooks) is available on the free plan at $0. We're building in public; if paid plans are introduced later, existing free access and the core free tier will remain generous.

    Leave the per-seat bill behind

Connect Google or Outlook Calendar, recreate your event types, share your link. Everything you paid Calendly for is free here — and we'll build what's missing.
