    What are recurring meetings?

A recurring meeting is a series of bookings on a fixed pattern: every week, every few weeks, or once a month on the same date. In 42min a series starts from an ordinary event type. An invitee can book it from your booking page, or a host can book it for a client from the Meetings page. Each meeting in the series gets its own calendar event, reminders, and workflows, and 42min keeps them linked so you can manage the series as a whole.

The invitee picks how many meetings and one time. 42min only offers times free on every date, books the series, and sends one confirmation listing all of them.

    Why teams use recurring meetings

    Invitees book the whole run

Your booking page asks how many meetings to book. The invitee picks one time, and 42min books every date of the weekly or monthly series together.

    Every date is checked first

A start time only appears when it is free on every date the series would use, so the eighth meeting can't land on top of something you booked last month.

    One place to manage it

Pause, resume, change the schedule, hand it to another host, or end the series from the Meetings page. Any single meeting can still be moved or canceled on its own.

Two ways to start a series

From your booking page. The invitee chooses how many meetings before choosing a time, because the count decides which times can be offered at all. Once they pick one, the page lists every resulting date, and a single confirmation email covers the whole series. On a round robin event type, 42min picks one host for the entire series, so the invitee meets the same person each time.

Create recurring on the Meetings page: choose the weekdays and time, how many meetings, and one link the whole series reuses.

From the Meetings page. Create recurring books a series for a contact: the host, the event type, a weekly pattern on one or more weekdays or a monthly one, a start date, and how many meetings. You can give the series one fixed meeting link that every occurrence uses, and decide whether the invitee is emailed.

Set up recurring meetings in 4 steps

    01

    Open the Recurring tab

Edit a one-on-one or round-robin event type and open Recurring, between Limits & Buffers and Booking Form. Group event types don't have this tab.

    02

    Choose who starts a series

Pick “Invitees can book a repeating series” to add the repeat control to your booking page, or “Only my team can create a series” to keep it internal.

    03

Set the pattern & the cap

Repeat every 1 to 8 weeks, or every month on the same day, and set Max meetings per series anywhere from 1 to 42.

    04

Share the link or book it yourself

Invitees choose a count and a time on your booking page. To set up a series for a client, use Create recurring on the Meetings page.

Full walkthrough with screenshots in the recurring meetings help guide, and pausing, editing, and ending a series in the Meetings page guide.

    When to use recurring meetings

Any time you meet the same person at a regular time.

    Coaching & tutoring

A weekly lesson booked once for the whole term. The student picks a time that is free every week, and both of you get the full list of dates by email.

    Client check-ins

Account reviews every two weeks or once a month, set up by the account manager from the Meetings page with one video link that every call reuses.

    Mentoring & 1:1s

Keep a standing slot with a mentee or a report. When one of you is away for a few weeks, pause the series and pick it back up later.

    Recurring meetings FAQ

It's one booking that repeats on a schedule, such as every Tuesday at 10:00 for eight weeks. 42min books each date as its own meeting and links them as a series, so you can manage the whole run at once or change a single date without touching the rest.
