A free SavvyCal alternative with routing forms and recurring meetings

SavvyCal is a pleasant link to book from, and a link only starts taking bookings once you pay $12 per user a month. Even then it has no routing forms, no recurring meetings and no SMS reminders. 42min has all three, along with round robin and webhooks, on the free plan.

Three things SavvyCal doesn't offer on any plan

Premium at $20 per user adds payments and custom domains. None of these come with it.

Routing forms

  • SavvyCal links can ask questions, wait for your approval and turn away free email addresses, but every visitor still books the same link.
  • A 42min routing form asks first, then sends each person to the right event type, an external page, a message or a second form, with rules that combine AND and OR conditions.
Diagram of a routing form in three steps: a visitor answers 51–200 to “How big is your team?”, a rule sends 51–200 and 200+ to the Talk to sales event type while the Default Rule sends every other answer to Intro call, and the visitor lands on Talk to sales

Recurring meetings

  • Weekly coaching or a monthly check-in means booking every session one at a time in SavvyCal.
  • In 42min an invitee books the whole series at once, and the page only offers times that are free on every date.
Diagram of booking a recurring series in three steps: the invitee asks for 8 weekly meetings, picks 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, a time free on all 8 dates, and books every Tuesday from September 22 to November 10 with one click on Schedule 8 meetings, getting one confirmation email

An AI assistant that can book

  • SavvyCal has no official MCP server.
  • 42min has an MCP server built in, so Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client can check your availability, book, cancel and reschedule from a chat.

FAQ

Not for taking bookings. You can sign up, set up your links and run meeting polls at no cost, but a link only takes bookings once you're on Basic at $12 per user per month or Premium at $20. In 42min, booking links work on the free plan.
