FAQ
Short answers to common questions. Each links to the fuller guide.
Getting started
Is 42min free? Yes — there's no billing in 42min. Your organization is on a plan that sets generous caps; there's nothing to pay.
What's the fastest way to get a working booking page? Create your account → connect a calendar (Google or Microsoft) → create one event type. Everything else (routing forms, workflows, teams) can come later. See What is 42min?.
Why is "42min"? It's the default meeting duration. You can set any event type to anything from 10 to 120 minutes.
Booking and availability
My booking page shows no available times — why? Usual causes: the schedule attached to that event type has no hours coming up, your minimum notice rules out the near term, the date range is short, your calendar is full, or a meeting limit is hit.
Slots are showing in the wrong time zone. Invitees always see slots in their zone; if your hours look wrong, your schedule's time zone is set wrong (it's separate from your profile time zone).
How do invitees reschedule or cancel? With the private links in their confirmation email — see Confirmations, rescheduling, and canceling. Hosts can also do it from Meetings.
Can I send a link that only works once? Yes — a single-use link from the Secret Links page.
Event types and routing
One-on-one vs round-robin? A one-on-one event type has a fixed host (you). A round-robin shares one link across a team and assigns each booking to whoever's free and least busy.
How do I send different people to different reps? A routing form: ask a question or two, then rules (first match wins, with a mandatory fallback) send each person to the right destination.
Booking-form questions vs routing-form fields — what's the difference? Booking questions collect info during a booking (everyone books the same event type). Routing-form fields decide where someone goes before they book.
My start times look odd (9:00, 9:42, 10:24…). That's the 42-minute start-time increment. Set the increment to 30 on the event type's Limits & Buffers tab for on-the-hour/half-hour times.
Team and organization
Group vs team? A group organizes users and lets a "group admin" invite people. A team is a pool of hosts for round-robin event types. Different things.
How do I add someone to my organization? An admin invites them from Users — see Inviting users. If you're at your plan's user limit, invites are blocked until you free a slot.
Can I make everyone offer the same meeting? Yes — an admin creates an event-type template that rolls out to the team and stays consistent.
How do I change our logo and colors? Admin Center → Branding for the logo and default theme; Admin Center → Themes for color sets.
Integrations
Do I have to use Google? No — you can sign in with and connect Microsoft / Outlook instead, with the same conflict-checking and write-back.
Why isn't there a Google Meet link on my bookings? The event type's location must be Google Meet and you need a connected Google account.
Is there a WhatsApp integration? Not a
first-party one — you route people to a
wa.me link via a routing form's external-URL
destination. See
WhatsApp.
Coming from Calendly? Connect Calendly and import your event types, schedules, and contacts, then review what came over.
Account and data
There's no "change password" option for me. Your account uses Google or Microsoft sign-in, so it has no password — sign in with that provider. See Password and sign-in.
How do I delete my account? Profile → Danger Zone. It's irreversible. If you own an organization with other members, hand off ownership first; if a teammate is leaving, deactivate their account instead of deleting.
